Development Release: LibreELEC 10.0 Beta 5
-
LibreELEC is “just enough OS” to run the Kodi media centre. LibreELEC is a Linux distribution built to run Kodi on current and popular hardware. The project’s latest development snapshot includes a new version of widevine: “LibreELEC 10 Beta5 is out of the box compatible with the new widevine version (4.10.2252.0 or newer) and no manual changes are required anymore to make it work.” The release announcement mentions new development branch has also dropped support for older versions of the Raspberry Pi series of computers: “Kernel changes for RPi4 users combined with no release for RPi2/3 users and discontinued support for RPi0/1 users means signifant changes in the user experience (Raspberry Pi users are a combined 80% of our active installed base). We are pretty confident RPi4 users will like the update since it brings HBR audio and initial HDR video support, but it’s still a big change.” Download: LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-9.95.5.img.gz (261MB).
